AB Enzymes introduces thermostable enzymes

AB Enzymes supports your application development through the supply of tailor-made enzyme blends targeted towards your substrate and your process conditions for converting lignocellulosic biomass.

Introduction

AB Enzymes’ focus in the biofuel market is in the use of lignocellulosic biomass to produce transport fuels.

The use of lignocellulosic biomass to produce transport tuel is a preferred route to meet future fuel demands. There is a global need to secure fuel supply, diversify the energy source used to produce the fuel and reduce the impact of fuel on the climate. Increasingly, governments are globally driving the use of biofuels. Future fuel supplies require the use of lignocellulosic biomass.

In order to be successful in this area, low value agricultural residues will need to be used. lignocellulosic biomass satisfies this criteria and is the most abundant material for this purpose globally. Ricestraw, cornstover, wood chips, wheatstraw and baggase are some of the lignocellulosic
substrates of choice for the near future.
