AB Enzymes hosts AMFEP Meetings and General Assembly 2007

5/11/2007

On October 4 and 5 AB Enzymes was host and organizer of the annual General Assembly and regular meetings of AMFEP, the Association of Manufacturers and Formulators of Enzyme Products, in Frankfurt/Main. It was the 31st General Assembly of Amfep, founded in 1977 to represent members at negotiations with the authorities on EU level in Brussels and to coordinate their views for representation on national and international level.
Altogether 52 participants and guests from 18 member companies were present and discussed actual regulatory affairs about enzymes within the EU as well as actual international and national legislation. In order to support fruitful discussions and decision making, a social event was arranged of which one part was a guided tour through the very interesting city of Frankfurt, the most international city in Germany. Frankfurt is the town with the most imposing skyline in Germany and the largest financial centre on the continent.
Due to its historical importance Frankfurt was also the city of coronations and last but not least the native town of Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, its most famous son. As you can learn from the picture taken on the “Römer”, Frankfurt’s old place with the city hall complex, “Goethe” himself took the chance to guide the group through his hometown.
