Senior Application Development Manager Food
(Located in Darmstadt, near Frankfurt, Germany)
As Senior Application Development Manager Food you will contribute to our sustainable business development, continuous application development. You will develop process-application knowledge with a focus on Protein Hydrolysis and Grain Processing. In this role you will be responsible to provide high level technical support to key accounts, distributors and high potential projects globally. You will support prioritised sales activities technically, in alignment with product strategy and customer tactics. It is expected that you will spend up to 50% of your time traveling.
You will be joining our Food Enzymes Marketing team that is located in Germany, Darmstadt. This team works closely with Sales and R&D and includes both Application Development and Product Management. Key industries the Food business is involved in are related to processing of Fruits, Grains and Proteins covering several highly diverse application areas.
- Provide high-level support to customers, partners and distributors in the field of Protein Hydrolysis and Grain Processing
- Develop and deploy application ideas/processes together with our partners and customers
- Identify new business opportunities through market insight, customer intimacy and AB Enzymes portfolio analysis against competitor offerings
- Interact with R&D to strengthen our innovation pipeline and connect opportunities with basic research
- Ensure effective product and application training for internal and external customers
- Represent the company at exhibitions and industry associations
Practical experience in food enzymes is essential
Education and work experience (at least 5 years) in Technical Sales / Application Management directly relevant for Protein Hydrolysis or Grain Processing
Demonstrated ability to effectively translate customer needs into meaningful products with a strong focus on existing product portfolio and gap analysis
Is willing and capable to travel ~50 % (including international)
Is an outgoing personality with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Is a good presenter who can deliver complex topics in a clear and structured way to deliver easy to understand messages to various stakeholders
Flexibility, team spirit, customer focus and results orientation are important work characteristics
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are a must, while communication skills in local language (German) are a strong asset
