The Role

As Senior Technician Enzyme Analytics, you will be part of an exciting international R&D and business environment, working with cutting edge technologies and a broad portfolio of diverse projects. This is a challenging senior position that requires a high level of independence and responsibility, knowledge of a large variety of enzyme analytical methods, and the continuous desire to learn and develop further. You will:

  • Join our team of highly dedicated and skilled analytics experts inside the Enzyme Technology discipline
  • Perform high-precision enzyme activity measurements on a large variety of enzyme classes (e.g., amylases, cellulases, proteases) and using a broad spectrum of analytical techniques (e.g., colorimetry, titrimetry, viscosimetry, fluorimetry), both manual and automated
  • Develop new enzyme analytical methods
  • Document, report and present your experimental results (e.g., Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
  • You will be based in Darmstadt, Germany and will interface with global R&D teams located in Germany and in Finland, as well as other disciplines (Application, Production, Sales and Business)

About You

As an ideal candidate, you have:

  • A technician´s degree (Chemie-, Biologielaborant/in, CTA, BTA or equivalent) or a bachelor´s degree from a University of Applied Science
  • Several years of work experience in a broad range of enzyme analytical methods
  • Experience in using automated and complex analytical equipment
  • A hands-on attitude and passion for delivering high-quality results, the continuous desire to learn and develop new skills, high diligence and reliability
  • You are a true team player and happy to step in and support your colleagues, especially in times of time pressure and changing priorities
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English and German
  • Experience with HPLC and/or high-throughput screening is a plus
