The Role

If you apply successfully for this job, you will have a regional responsibility for revenues and margin in the bake enzyme business. As part of your role you will function as the primary interface between AB Enzymes and existing and prospective bake customers in the region.

This is a varied role but the main responsibilities include:

  • Technical sales of enzymes for bake applications with a focus on revenue growth
  • Account planning and sales analysis, managing the buying cycle
  • Achieving sales objectives and KPI’s with the key account(s)
  • Build sustainable long term relationships based upon multi-level contacts such as senior management, purchasing, operations, quality control, R&D and applications
  • Building a clear understanding of responsibilities and communication lines inside the client organisation
  • Contract negotiation and deal executions
  • Identifying, creating, quantifying and prioritizing sales opportunities
  • Supporting Global Key Account teams by managing the daily relationship in the region
  • Attending trade shows and industry conferences

About You

  • Experience in enzymes is a clear asset. Further, you bring in depth knowledge and experience from the baking and/or baking ingredient industry
  • You possess an academic degree for example in Food Science, Chemistry or Biotechnology or equivalent experience
  • A profound interest in identifying, understanding and meeting customer needs
  • Customer focused and communicative personal style - preferably from your experience in a commercial role in the food ingredients industry
  • Resolving complaints with key accounts.
  • Fluency in written and oral Portuguese and English (Spanish would be a benefit)
  • An excellent Team player and co-worker
  • Willingness and capability to travel ~50-60% throughout South America
